I remember starting my garden on the balcony of my 3rd floor apartment. I was a newlywed with a one year old and my cat. I recall suddenly wanting to grow something on our balcony to bring some life to the space. So one weekend, my daughter and I went to our local dollar store, grabbed a few packs of seeds and a few flower pots, a watering can, some plant starts from a local garden center and two bags of soil. We were so excited and well on our way. That day we only spent about $50 on all of these supplies. I had no idea what I was in store for or that my balcony did not get enough sunlight during the growing seasons, but we did it anyway.
With only a $50 investment, we grew tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and even planted a grape plant, that grew just a bit (mostly because I had no idea what I was doing). But it was fun! I got to do this with my kid and we had fresh veggies to eat!
Til this day....growing that garden was worth it. My oldest will be 11 soon and I also now have a soon-to-be 3 year old or should I say 13 year old. And both of them are vegetable and fruit eaters!
Anyhow, back to the point. It does not take much money to start a garden. Even with inflation, there are ways to be frugal, budget and prepare for the cost of the garden.
With that in mind, I would love to help you start your garden by having a free 15 minute video or phone consultation. I usually charge $50 for 30 minutes, but because you have read this blog, you get first dibs on something amazing.
And if that's not enough, if you sign up for a 30 minute consultation, you'll automatically gain access to our "Gardener's Club!" The club is a network of information, filled with garden videos, tips, tricks and events that will help you become the best gardener.
One more thing....A VIRTUAL GARDEN CLASS - WILL BE COMING SOON!
